Hello. I'm Jason. I've been an electrical engineer since leaving the RAF in 2005. I work in the renewables industry which is very challenging and rewarding.

In 2021, during the Covid-19 lockdown in the UK, I started to think how amazing it would be to have a campervan, and visit those amazing destinations in the UK and Europe. So.....I decided to build Paul. After 15 months, Paul was completed.

I've had many fantastic trips in Paul, with the hope of many more but of course our work commitments mean that I can't (unfortunately) disappear for an extended period just yet. This means that Paul was sitting on the driveway doing nothing.

So it seemed like a good idea to hire Paul out so that other people get to enjoy the freedom and comfort that Paul can offer.

And of course the extra money helps us to keep Paul in tip top condition.

Paul is built for two people, he can fit a 3rd small person if required. I built him to carry me (+1) with my dog Pepper, on an extended trip across Europe in comfort and style. The van is very well equipped and has everything you would need.

I also knew that sometimes I would need to 'boon-dock' or camp 'off-grid'. For this reason I have equipped the van for extended trips away from the facilities you would expect from a site. For example, the freshwater tank is larger than usual, and the roof is full of solar panels to keep the batteries topped up. I fitted an inverter, so I could use our normal electrical items that need to plug into a 240 volt socket, even when miles from an electrical hook up!

With the 'blackout blinds' and low level lighting, I can even hide our presence when I park in residential areas and car parks. I have done my best to cover all options and scenarios.
